James Scott

I took Latin 201 & 202 with Jim, as well as MCLG 155. Although his courses could get repetitive, he was always cheerful and enthusiastic. Apart from one occasion where he spent an entire Latin class talking about Trains, he usually stayed on topic. He also served as my adviser for years. He's one of the few prof.s I'll never forget.

Grk 101, Grk 102, Survey of Classical Lit, Latin 201-2 w/ Scott. He is an very accommodating prof.. Scott has a hands off approach with language courses that makes it difficult to get as much depth as one needs to be prepared for the upper division Greek and Latin courses.
